Surgical guide resins are classified by most resin manufacturers as class 1 medical devices.  Generally, surgical guides are printed at 50u layer heights to create exacting holes for use with metal drill sleeves.

FDA listed surgical guide resins are biocompatible and are resistant to disinfectants, and some surgical guide resins are heat-resistant and can be autoclaved without warping.

Surgical Guide resins that are compatible with most 405nm printers include:

Temporary Crown and Bridge resins are usually available in a variety of tooth shades and are specifically designed for temporary use (usually less than 30 days).  Most resins in this category are strong enough for single temporary restorations and up to three unit temporary bridges.  For an even stronger temporary or longterm denture, use a fiber reinforced tooth resin

Temporary crown and bridge resins that are compatible with most 405nm printers include:

  • NextDent C&B resin is distributed by Avadent in Scottsdale AZ (shipping to North America only)

Fiber-reinforced tooth-shade dental 3d printer resins are stronger versions of the temporary crown and bridge resins, but they are reinforced with inorganic fibers for use as mid-term temporaries and with dentures, and generally exceed 100 MPa in strength.

Reinforced tooth-shade dental resins that are compatible with most 405nm 3d printers include:

  • NextDent C&B MFH resin is distributed by Avadent in Scottsdale AZ (shipping to North America only)

Indirect Bonding Tray dental 3d printer resins are designed for easily bond entire sets of orthodontic brackets to patients based upon a digitally designed layout.  IBT resins are generally flexible semi-clear biocompatible materials.

Indirect Bonding Tray dental resins that are compatible with most 405nm 3d printers include:

  • NextDent IBT resin is distributed by Avadent in Scottsdale AZ (shipping to North America only)

Rigid splint orthodontic dental 3d printer resins are stronger than most clear ortho resins so that they can be used to print night guards for bruxerism (teeth grinding) plus other orthodontic applications that require additional strength.  Most rigid materials are not perfectly clear.

Rigid ortho dental resins that are compatible with most 405nm 3d printers include:

NextDent Model is characterized by its high degree of accuracy, making this material suitable for detailed master models where a high precision is needed. The models show high visual details due to color and opacity and has an ideal surface for scan-impressions. The accurate printed models are the perfect base for creating your dental work piece.

NextDent Model Ortho is a material suitable for printing models specifically used in ‘Vacuum Casting’ applications. This material is faster and easier to print compared to other model materials, but is slightly less accurate.

NextDent Tray is a biocompatible certified Class I material designed to print individual impression trays. The material distinguishes itself because of the high printing speed and accuracy.

NextDent Tray resin enables technicians to make even the most complex trays in a matter of minutes. The printed trays are rigid and suitable for all types of impression material, making high-quality, high-precision impressions possible.

NextDent Gingiva Mask is a flexible material that can be used in combination with the model material. Making it possible to print parts of the model that need a certain flexibility.

NextDent Cast is a residue-free combustible 3D printing material, suited for all kinds of purposes. Whether you need a support structure, a frame or orthodontic devices. Simply design, print and cast making use of our castable material and the investment material that is recommended. Casting the parts in the metal you require.

NextDent Base is a biocompatible Class IIa material suitable for printing all types of dentures bases. This material has low shrinkage compared to standard PMMA denture base materials, which result in excellent fitting denture bases. The low amount of residual monomer left after post-processing gives the material it’s biocompatibility.

NextDent Ortho Clear is a biocompatible Class IIa material for all types of splints and retainers. It is a clear and thereby aesthetically pleasing 3D print material, characterised by high strength, fracture- and wear resistance. Suitable for printers with wavelength of 365 – 385 nm.
